Last updated: 26 October 2026. Airline schedules change by season, so always check the airline’s own website before you book.
Quick answer: Yes, you can fly direct from Singapore to Da Nang. Singapore Airlines (three flights a day this winter), Scoot and VietJet already fly the route, and Vietnam Airlines starts a daily direct flight on 17 November 2026, with return economy fares from VND 5.266 million (about US$204). The flight takes about 2 hours 40 minutes, and Singapore passport holders can visit Vietnam visa-free for up to 30 days.

Singapore is one of the easiest places in the world to reach Da Nang from. It’s a short flight, there’s no visa for short stays, and the airport is right in the city. From mid-November 2026 there will be even more choice, because Vietnam Airlines is adding a daily direct flight. Here’s what each airline offers, what the new flight costs, and what to do when you land.
Which airlines fly direct from Singapore to Da Nang?
Four airlines will fly direct between Singapore Changi (SIN) and Da Nang (DAD) from 17 November 2026: Singapore Airlines, Scoot, VietJet and Vietnam Airlines. Singapore Airlines has the most flights, with three a day this winter. Jetstar Asia no longer flies this route because the airline shut down on 31 July 2025.

Vietnam Airlines’ new daily Da Nang–Singapore flight: what we know
Vietnam Airlines starts daily direct flights between Da Nang and Singapore on 17 November 2026, using an Airbus A321. According to VnExpress International (23 October 2026), these are the details so far:
- Departure times: 3 PM from Da Nang and 7:45 PM from Singapore (local times). Arrival times weren’t included in the announcement, so check them when you book.
- Launch fare: from VND 5.266 million (about US$204) for a return economy ticket, including taxes and fees. Peak periods are excluded.
- Booking window: on sale until 31 December 2026.
- Travel dates: 17 November 2026 to 31 May 2027.
- Network: with 14 flights a week from Hanoi and 21 a week from Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam Airlines will run 42 return flights a week between Vietnam and Singapore.
It’s part of a bigger trend: Singapore arrivals to Vietnam were up 29.8% year on year in the first nine months of 2026.
How long is the flight from Singapore to Da Nang?
The flight takes about 2 hours 40 minutes. Da Nang is 1 hour behind Singapore, so the times on your ticket can make it look shorter than it is. For example, Scoot’s published schedule had a flight leaving Changi at 2 PM and landing in Da Nang at 3:40 PM local time, which is really 2 hours 40 minutes in the air and on the ground.
How much do Singapore–Da Nang flights cost?
The only fare that has been officially announced is Vietnam Airlines’ launch fare of VND 5.266 million (about US$204) return in economy. Fares on the other airlines change every day, depending on the date and how early you book, so we don’t list them here. A few tips:
- Compare the full price. Low-cost fares often look cheaper until you add checked bags, seats and meals.
- Avoid Singapore school holidays and Vietnamese holidays such as Tết (Lunar New Year), when fares and hotel prices go up.
- Book through the airline’s own website, or a trusted booking site, and double-check the arrival time in Da Nang local time.
Which terminal do international flights use at Da Nang airport?
International flights, including all flights from Singapore, use Terminal 2 (T2), the international terminal at Da Nang International Airport (DAD). A US$58 million expansion of T2 broke ground on 19 May 2026. It will add more than 21,000 m² of space and increase the number of aerobridge gates from four to seven, so you may see building work for a while.
Do Singaporeans need a visa for Vietnam?
No visa is needed for short trips. Singapore passport holders can stay in Vietnam visa-free for up to 30 days. Before you fly, check these:
- Your passport is valid for at least 6 months from your arrival date and has at least 2 blank pages.
- You may be asked for proof of an onward or return flight.
- Fill in the free Digital Arrival Card before you land. It’s required for foreign passport holders arriving at Da Nang, and it gets you into the priority lane at immigration.
- Staying longer than 30 days? Apply for the official e-visa (up to 90 days) on evisa.gov.vn only, and skip the look-alike agency sites.
Our Da Nang visa guide has the full rules, the Digital Arrival Card steps and a list of common e-visa mistakes.
