Cheap Seafood in Da Nang (2026): 6 Local Restaurants Locals Love
Last updated: October 2026
Da Nang is a fishing city, and the best seafood here is not in fancy hotels. It is in big, noisy local halls with plastic chairs, tanks of live seafood and families sharing plates of grilled oysters. These are the cheap seafood restaurants I actually take friends to, including two that made the MICHELIN Guide.
Quick answer: where to eat cheap seafood in Da Nang
For a local seafood hall that made the MICHELIN Guide, go to Năm Đảnh (dishes from about 60,000 VND). For a slightly nicer evening with lobster, MỘC Quán Seafood. For a big local spot near Mân Thái beach, Bé Yến. Most seafood is sold by weight, so always ask the price per kg before they cook it.

1. Năm Đảnh: the MICHELIN seafood hall hidden in an alley
- Address: 139/59/38 Trần Quang Khải, Sơn Trà, down a residential alley near Thọ Quang port (Google Maps)
- Hours: about 10 AM–10:30 PM daily
- Price: dishes from about 60,000–80,000 VND
- Order: grilled oysters, blue crab in tamarind sauce, Thai-style octopus, steamed shrimp
- MICHELIN: listed in the MICHELIN Guide
This is the one I would start with. It is huge, loud and full of locals, with a hut of live seafood tanks where you choose what you want. It is so hidden that a golf cart shuttles guests in from Phan Vinh street. Go early: the best seafood sells out at peak times.

2. MỘC Quán Seafood
- Address: 26 Tô Hiến Thành, Sơn Trà (Google Maps)
- Hours: about 10:30 AM–10:30 PM daily
- Price: about 70,000–300,000 VND a dish; live seafood by weight
- Order: lobster in garlic butter with salted egg yolk; staff in gloves shell it at your table
- MICHELIN: listed in the MICHELIN Guide
Open since 2019, MỘC is a step up: indoor seating plus an outdoor garden with fairy lights. You still pick your seafood live from the tanks, so it is a good place to try lobster without fine-dining prices.

3. Bé Yến
- Address: 45 Nguyễn Sáng, Sơn Trà, near Mân Thái beach; a second branch is at Lô 345 Hoàng Sa (Google Maps)
- Hours: about 10 AM–11 PM
- Price: about 30,000–200,000 VND a dish; some seafood by market price
- Order: grilled oysters (with cheese or scallion oil), tiger prawns, grilled squid
Bé Yến has been feeding locals for more than 20 years. The display out front looks like a mini seafood market: baskets of squid, oysters, crabs and fish. Point at what you want and choose how they cook it, steamed, with tamarind, or grilled with salt and chili.

4. A Xử Quán
- Address: 113 Hà Kỳ Ngộ (corner of Nguyễn Đức An), Sơn Trà, about 600 m from the beach (Google Maps)
- Hours: afternoon until around midnight (listings vary)
- Price: about 35,000–150,000 VND a dish
- Order: sweet sea snails (ốc hương), crab in chili sauce, Thai-style seafood salad
A classic Vietnamese quán nhậu: cold beer, seafood and lots of noise. It gets packed at weekends, so go early or be ready to wait a little.

5. Bà Rô Seafood
- Address: 115 Lý Tử Tấn, Thọ Quang, Sơn Trà (Google Maps)
- Hours: about 9 AM–10 PM; may close on the 1st and 15th of the lunar month
- Price: about 50,000–120,000 VND a dish
- Order: grilled oysters with scallion oil, crab in tamarind sauce, razor clams with lemongrass and chili
A no-frills local favourite in the fishing neighbourhood of Thọ Quang, close to the port. Big plates, fair prices and a mostly Vietnamese crowd.

6. Châu Sơn (Châu Nga) Seafood: always packed with locals
- Address: 21 Nại Tú 2, Nại Hiên Đông, Sơn Trà (Google Maps)
- Hours: late morning or afternoon until about 10 PM (listings vary)
- Price: about 50,000–200,000 VND a dish
- Order: scallops grilled with cheese, mantis shrimp in garlic butter, steamed clams
The sign out front says Hải sản Châu Nga, but most people call it Châu Sơn. Every time we go it is super packed with locals. Pick your seafood from the basins by the door and they grill it over charcoal right at the entrance. Get the scallops and prawns grilled with cheese. Go early in the evening or book a table (the number on the sign is 0988 022 444).

How to order seafood like a local
- Ask the price first. Lobster, crab and live fish are sold by weight (per kg or per 100 g). Ask “Bao nhiêu một ký?” (how much per kg?) and watch them weigh it.
- Choose how it is cooked: hấp (steamed), nướng (grilled), rang me (tamarind), xào (stir-fried), nướng mỡ hành (grilled with scallion oil), phô mai (with cheese).
- Order a few small plates to share, then add more. That is how locals eat.
- Carry cash for small places, though many now take bank QR transfers.
- Go early: the most popular dishes sell out by late evening.
