Best Mì Quảng in Da Nang 2026: 7 Spots Locals Love (Prices & Hours)
Best Mì Quảng in Da Nang 2026: 7 Spots Locals Love (Prices & Hours)
Quick answer: The best mì Quảng in Da Nang in 2026 is at Mỳ Quảng Sứa Hồng Vân (59 Lê Hồng Phong, MICHELIN Bib Gourmand), Mì Quảng Bà Sáu (397 Trần Hưng Đạo, MICHELIN Selected, river view) and the classic Mì Quảng 1A (1A Hải Phòng). For a true local breakfast, go to Mì Quảng Bà Dinh (42 Đào Duy Từ), Mì Quảng Hương Quê (78 Phan Thanh), Mì Quảng Huyền (17 Châu Thị Vĩnh Tế) or, for chicken, Mì Quảng Bếp Củi (100 Hồ Nghinh). A bowl costs about 30,000–60,000₫ (US$1.20–2.40), and most shops are busiest from 6am to 9am.
I live in Da Nang and eat mì Quảng more often than I’d like to admit. These are the 7 bowls I keep going back to – most of them photographed or filmed by me.
What is mì Quảng?
Mì Quảng (pronounced “mee kwahng”) is the signature noodle dish of Quảng Nam and Da Nang. It uses wide, flat rice noodles – often tinted yellow with turmeric – served with only a little rich, concentrated broth rather than a full soup. Common toppings are shrimp, pork, chicken, quail or chicken eggs, fish or even jellyfish, finished with roasted peanuts and a crunchy sesame rice cracker (bánh tráng mè) that you break over the bowl.
How to eat it like a local: add the fresh herbs and banana-flower salad, crush the rice cracker on top, squeeze in lime, add a little chili, then mix everything before your first bite.
Types of mì Quảng: what’s on the menu
There isn’t just one mì Quảng. Every village and family shop has its own version, and the name on the sign usually tells you the style or the main topping. These are the ones you’ll see most in Da Nang:
Mì Quảng Phú Chiêm
Mì Quảng Phú Chiêm is the style from Phú Chiêm village in Điện Bàn, Quảng Nam, about 25 km south of Da Nang, and it’s considered one of the most traditional versions. Its signature is the brick-red nước nhưn – a small amount of thick, concentrated broth made naturally sweet with shrimp, ground field crab and egg yolk – poured over a topping of whole shrimp (often left in the shell) braised with pork belly. The original Phú Chiêm bowl was just shrimp and jellyfish; chicken, pork and quail eggs came later. In Da Nang, look for “Phú Chiêm” on the shop sign.
Other common styles
- Mì Quảng tôm thịt – shrimp and pork, the everyday classic.
- Mì Quảng gà – chicken, best with free-range village chicken (gà ta). For the best chicken bowl, go to Mì Quảng Bếp Củi (#7 below), where the broth is still cooked over a wood fire.
- Mì Quảng sứa – jellyfish with a shrimp-based broth, the speciality at Hồng Vân.
- Mì Quảng cá lóc / cá – snakehead or other fish, lighter and slightly sour.
- Mì Quảng ếch, lươn, bò – frog, eel or beef, braised in a richer, spicier topping.
- Mì Quảng thập cẩm / đặc biệt – the “mixed” or “special” bowl with a bit of everything.
White or yellow noodles? Both are traditional. Yellow noodles get their colour from turmeric (or sometimes egg); white noodles are plain rice flour. Many shops let you choose.

1. Mỳ Quảng Sứa Hồng Vân – the Michelin Bib Gourmand bowl
Address: 59 Lê Hồng Phong, Hải Châu, Da Nang
Hours: about 6am–1pm
Order: mì Quảng sứa (jellyfish) or the mixed bowl
Hồng Vân is the mì Quảng shop the MICHELIN Guide awarded a Bib Gourmand – its “good quality, good value” label. The orange-red broth is made with shrimp, and you choose your toppings: quail egg, pork, shrimp, meatballs or springy jellyfish. The jellyfish version is the one to try if you want something you won’t find at home. It’s a morning-only place, so go early.
2. Mì Quảng Bà Sáu (Mỳ Quảng Cô Sáu) – river views and late hours

Address: 397 Trần Hưng Đạo, Sơn Trà side of the Han River, Da Nang
Hours: about 6am–10:30pm
Order: the mixed bowl with shrimp, pork and egg
Bà Sáu is listed in the MICHELIN Guide (as “Mỳ Quảng Cô Sáu”) and is one of the few good mì Quảng shops open into the evening – handy if you land late or want noodles after the Dragon Bridge show. It sits on the riverside road facing the city skyline, so it’s also the prettiest place on this list to eat.
3. Mì Quảng 1A – the classic everyone talks about
Address: 1A Hải Phòng, Hải Châu, Da Nang
Hours: about 6am–9pm
Order: mì Quảng đặc biệt (special) with shrimp, pork and chicken
Mì Quảng 1A has been feeding Da Nang for decades and is listed in the MICHELIN Guide. It’s central, quick and stays open all day, which makes it the easiest first bowl for visitors. Expect a balanced, slightly sweet broth and generous toppings.
4. Mì Quảng Bà Dinh – the old “Kho Đạn” favourite

Address: 42 Đào Duy Từ, Thanh Khê, Da Nang
Hours: about 6am–2:30pm
Order: mì Quảng thập cẩm (mixed)
Locals still call this place “mì Quảng Kho Đạn” after the old ammunition depot that used to stand nearby. Bà Dinh’s mixed bowl comes with shrimp, pork, chicken and braised quail eggs, plus a big plate of herbs and banana flower. It gets packed from 7 to 9am – a good sign.
5. Mì Quảng Hương Quê – free-range chicken, open all day

Address: 78 Phan Thanh, Thanh Khê, Da Nang
Hours: about 7am–9pm
Order: mì Quảng gà (chicken)
“Hương Quê” means “taste of the countryside”, and the shop is known for using free-range village chicken – firmer and more flavourful than the usual. There’s a long menu (pork, ribs, beef, eel, frog, snakehead fish), so it’s a good choice for groups. Because it’s open until evening, it’s an easy lunch or dinner stop too.
6. Mì Quảng Huyền – big shrimp near My Khe Beach

Address: 17 Châu Thị Vĩnh Tế, Ngũ Hành Sơn (My Khe Beach area), Da Nang
Order: mì Quảng tôm thịt (shrimp and pork)
If you’re staying by the beach, Huyền is the one to walk to. The yellow turmeric noodles come piled with whole shrimp, pork, eggs and fresh greens, with a giant sesame rice cracker and a house chili sauce on the side – spoon in a little at a time, it’s punchy.
7. Mì Quảng Bếp Củi – the best chicken mì Quảng
Address: 100 Hồ Nghinh, Sơn Trà (near My Khe Beach), Da Nang
Order: mì Quảng gà ta (free-range chicken) or mì Quảng gà đá (lean local-breed chicken)
If you want chicken mì Quảng, this is my pick. “Bếp củi” means “wood-fire kitchen”, and everything here is done the old way: rice ground by hand, fresh noodles made from scratch, and broth simmered slowly over a wood fire using family recipes. The restaurant is styled like an old Vietnamese grandmother’s home, with vintage furniture and a traditional kitchen – a lovely place to slow down over breakfast.
Tips for eating mì Quảng in Da Nang
- Go early. Mì Quảng is a breakfast dish; many local shops sell out or close by late morning.
- Bring cash. Small shops usually take cash or Vietnamese bank QR only.
- Don’t expect a lot of soup. The little bit of broth at the bottom is intentional – mix it through the noodles.
- Try the chili and lime. Each shop has its own chili; taste before you add a full spoon.
